Lakeview right on the seafront Lakeview Guesthouse Bed and Breakfast Stranraer overlooks Lochryan and all Irish ferries.

We are within walking distance of Stranraer town centre, the Stena Line ferry terminal and the railway and bus station, from which we offer a courtesy pick-up. Cairnryan ferry port is a 7 minute drive away.

There’s ample off road parking across from our Victorian town house with its original character that offers attractive accommodating bed and breakfast, and is ideally located across from Agnew Park which features a mini railway, children’s’ play park and boating lake.

Whether you are holidaying or here for business in the area there’s something for everyone in Stranraer. You can be sure of a warm Scottish welcome from Alan and Elaine.

Accommodation - We have 6 bedrooms, (2 single's, 1 twin, 2 double rooms and 1 triple rooms), all being either en-suite or with adjoining private bathrooms, centrally heated, with television and  tea and coffee courtesy trays.

No Smoking in the HouseFor the comfort of other guests and your own safety, we ask you not to smoke in the house.

Dining Room Breakfast is served from 7.30am to 9.30am, and includes fruit juice and cereals, followed by a full cooked breakfast with toast, coffee or tea. Special diets and an early breakfast can also be catered for, by prior arrangement.

 

We are happy to accept guests who arrive late in the evening, or in the early morning from the Stranraer or Cairnryan ferries, and we offer a pick up / drop off service for guests arriving by train, coach or ferry along with walkers doing the Southern Upland Way.

Being within walking distance of the Stranraer ferry terminal and only a few miles from Cairnryan, many guests during their stay take a day trip to Belfast from Stranraer or Larne from Cairnryan. For current timetables click on either the Stena Line or P&O Irish Sea links.

Nearby Gardens include Glenwhan Gardens at Dunragit and Logan Botanical Gardens which are en route to the Mull of Galloway, setting for the BBC drama "Two Thousand Acres of Sky".

Golf Courses in Dumfries & Galloway Stranraer Golf Club, Creachmore, 01776 870245 can be seen from the front of the house; Dunskey Golf Club at Portpatrick 01776 810273 is an 8 mile drive and the world famous Turnberry course 01655 331000 a 30 minute drive.
